Taiwan's Winstron, world's No 2 contract manufacturer forms JV to Make in India

Winstron will invest around $200 million over five years to make smartphones, tablets and smart devices in India in JV with Optiemus Infracon.
This makes it the second global major after Foxconn to set shop in world’s fastest growing smartphone market. By 2017, India is expected to be the second largest smartphone market globally, overtaking US.
Foxconn has already kicked off handset assembly for a number of Chinese players including Xiaomi, Gionee and OnePlus.
